The game suffers from lots and lots of sameyness. This isn't to say that all the missions are bad. Designing everything with co-op in mind means you simply can't replicate the same kinds of missions you'd find in Mass Effect. That being said, Destiny and Destiny 2 manage to make some of their best content-like Strikes-co-op only so it obviously can be done. To some degree, this is just the nature of the beast. The now-infamous Tombs mission shakes things up by amping up the grind to eleven. Yes, this formula is changed up now and again, but not always in a good way. Get mission, go shoot stuff, fetch something, shoot more stuff, activate something, fight some waves, end mission, go back to Fort Tarsis.But the game ultimately boils down to the same dreary loop over and over again: Some of the Javelins have some cool powers and movement mechanics.
